Rehearsal Times
The two Thursday evenings leading up to the 3rd Sunday of each month at 7PM.

In the early 1970’s under the pastorship of Rev. Augustus T. Gaskins, and under the music ministry of Mrs. Evelyn Gaskins, a need for a youth choir was expressed. After thought and organization, a youth choir was formed and named the Zionettes. The Zionettes sang on every third Sunday of the month. As the years progressed the Zionettes continued to grow and flourish with youth and young adult members.

Some of the directors were Mrs. Gloria Anderson, Rev. Marquis Egerton, Ms. Jackie Anderson and Minister Maharold Peoples.

During the transition of moving into a new worship facility, the choir desired a new name. After much prayer and support from the church leadership, the choir decided on the name, Voices of Zion.

The Voices of Zion has hosted and participated in youth music workshops with featured guests: Minister Earl Bynum and the national acclaimed Kurt Carr and the Kurt Carr Singers, and Canton Jones.

Currently, the Voices of Zion is under the dynamic directorship of Sister Kristen Mitchell. Under her direction, the choir has progressed with varied repertoire and enthusiasm. The Voices of Zion sing on the 3rd Sunday of each month. The ages are from 13-25.
