Grace and peace to you! As we enter the season of Thanksgiving, we are reminded of God’s abundant blessings and faithfulness. ​ Below are highlights from the November 2025 Messenger to review and share with our members:
Upcoming Events:
  • Pastoral Installation Ceremony: Celebrate the installation of Rev. ​ Dr. Sandra K. James as FMZBC’s 11th Pastor on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2 PM. ​ Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Hale will deliver a powerful Word. ​
  • Youth Ministry Prayer Dinner & Food Drive: Friday, November 14, 2025, 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM. ​ Keynote speaker: Judge Eileen Olds. ​ Open to FMZBC youth (grades 6-12) and nonmember guests. ​
  • HBCU Festival: Saturday, November 15, 2025, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM. ​ FMZBC will provide transportation. Sign up by November 9th. ​
Clergy Appreciation Month: ​ We honor our faithful clergy for their love, wisdom, and service. ​ Let’s continue to pray for and support them as they lead us in faith. ​
Encouragement for the Soul: ​
  • Message from Rev. Dr. James:  Trust God in trying times. ​ Faith grows deeper in seasons of silence. ​
  • Daily devotionals are essential for staying rooted in faith. ​ Start today! ​

  • November is Diabetes Awareness Month. ​ Learn about symptoms, prevention, and management. ​
  • Understand panic attacks and seek help if needed. ​

  • Scholarship Workshop: Sunday, November 16, 2025, after Worship Service. ​ Open to 2026 graduating high school seniors. ​
  • Women’s Ministry Fellowship: Saturday, November 8, 2025 via Zoom. ​ Theme: “The Positive Power of Godly Wisdom.” ​
  • Seniors’ Ministry Thanksgiving Fellowship: Wednesday, November 19, 2025. ​
