FMZBC Pastoral Search Voting Overview

Pray. Prepare. Participate: We are now in Phase 7: Decision-Making (Voting) of our pastoral search journey—a process rooted in prayer, biblical guidance, and church governance.

Who Can Vote?

To participate, you must:

  • Be a verified active member of First Mount Zion Baptist Church
  • Have your name listed on the official church roster

If you previously registered through the Roll Call Refresh but no longer want an electronic ballot, please email the following statement to pulpitcommittee@firstmountzionbc.org:

“I no longer want to receive an electronic ballot to vote on our next Pastor. I recognize this means that I will need to be present at the church on September 13, 2025, to receive a paper ballot. I also recognize that I will not receive both an electronic and paper ballot.”

Voting Day – Saturday, September 13, 2025

  • 10:00 AM: Join us in person to help us reach the required 12% quorum, which must be maintained throughout voting. (This includes possible additional voting rounds the same day if no candidate receives 75% affirmation.)
  • 11:00 AM: Electronic ballots will be sent to one of your registered emails, not multiple emails. You will have 1 hour to cast your vote.

This is more than a procedure—it is a prayerful journey. Let us approach this moment with unity, discernment, and faith, trusting God’s guidance for our next pastor.
