Family, please be aware that the Governor has declared a State of Emergency due to an expected severe winter storm forecast to bring heavy snow, possible ice, and dangerous road conditions across Northern Virginia this weekend.
Authorities are urging everyone to stay off the roads from Saturday evening through Monday morning unless there is an emergency. Snow may fall at 1–2 inches per hour, and some neighborhoods may not be plowed for up to 48 hours after the storm ends.
Please prepare now, stay home if you can, check on elderly neighbors, and keep the roads clear for emergency and utility crews. If you have a medical or safety emergency, call for help immediately.
