Title: Receptionist

Status: Full-Time (40 Hours Non-Exempt)

Minimum Hourly Rate: $12.50. Higher rate commensurate with years of experience.

First Mount Zion Baptist Church is seeking a Receptionist with at least two years of work experience; having additional administrative experience is desired. The Receptionist is vital to the operation of First Mount Zion Baptist Church. Representing the Church as the first point of contact for members and guests who visit and/or call the Church the position requires someone with a heart for people and who has exceptional customer service. The role requires the receptionist to have insight into daily church operations and ministry activities serving as a vital resource often connecting members, staff, leadership and the community to and within the ministry of FMZBC.  The Receptionist reports to and provides administrative assistance to the Church Business Administrator in so doing the Receptionist supports the operations team by receiving requests for building use and effectively managing the church calendar using electronic scheduling.  The position supports the ministry by the weekly publishing of the announcement sheet and slides reflective of the activities of the FMZ ministry. Additionally, the Receptionist works with members to schedule Sunday transportation as well as receiving and processing applications for employment and benevolence. Other duties will include weekly filing, scheduling and data entry. The ideal candidate will be proficient in multiline phone systems; Microsoft, the operation of facsimile, copier.
